CJ attended an alumni weekend at Sandy Spring Friends School at the end of May 2025. Here she is with classmates Nora Reno, Nick Shank, Cedruc Rollins and Sara Green.
Just before Easter in 2025, the leaders of Sandy Spring Friends School announced that they were shutting down the school at the end of the spring semester because of a $15 million debt the school could not repay. Everyone connected with the school was in shock. Alumni and friends of the school, CJ included, quickly rallied to the school’s defense and pledged more than enough funding to allow the school to stay open.
