We taped Murray Baker reminiscing about about the depression, working, serving in the army, and more. This was at home in Bates on either July 29 or July 30 in 1996. Helen is also in the video. She was well into Alzheimers Disease at the time and often confused. Gail Holm asks Murray questions.

The original video became garbled at around 12 minutes and 40 seconds. I was able to edit around that mark, but the garble may have lost some of his story about his time in Europe. I remember him telling us about the time after his accident when he was transferred to a hospital and found himself in a bed next to Richard Horne of Bates. I don’t remember if he told us that during this visit or at a different time.
