Carl and Helen Holm's in Bates Township, shortly after the addition on the left side was constructed. Compare this picture with the next one. At first, the roof on the addition was flat and there was no brick chimney for the fireplace. Furthermore, the style of the windows under the overhang and on the front of the original section of the house were different from what they were later.
