The original Christian Henjes farm house, purchased with his gold from the California gold rush. This photo is from about 1896, when Fred Henjes lived here with his wife Ella Dunteman and daughters Elma, Edna, and Martha. They are all pictured here. Rose, the fourth daughter, was born about ten years later.

I found this photo displayed at the 1998 Busse reunion.
