They are standing in front of an enormous Dala horse. 
Aurora&#146s caption says this is the World&#146s Fair in 1939. 
I think they were there in 1940 because the billboard in the back 
shows the 1940 Republican Presidential candidate Wendell Willkie and his running mate, 
Senator Charles L. McNary of Oregon. Wilkie wasn&#146t nominated until June 1940.
